The Center for Shared Services is seeking a motivated, self-starting recruiter to join our recruiting team to initiate, coordinate, and drive the identification, outreach, and selection of talent for our internal and client roles. The role will encompass the full cycle recruiting process:  role requisitions, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, screening/interviewing candidates, and ensuring appropriate documentation and record retention for applicants. The Center for Shared Services equips free market non-profit organizations with the best tools to achieve their missions. We provide a broad range of advice and information in areas including compliance, communications, leadership development training, best practices in management and policy, and recommendations for consultants and vendors to fulfill operational needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Determine applicant requirements by understanding job description and job qualifications through communication with hiring managers
  • Communicate with external hiring managers to determine specific role requirements defined through job description and qualifications
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting new avenues for recruitment of  candidates
  • Mine and build additional resource pools for talent
  • Vet potential candidates by reviewing applications, comparing qualifications to job requirements, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and verifying references
  • Conduct phone, Skype, and in-person interviews
  • Research various media outlets relevant to our industry to better target advertising and improve candidate quality
  • Develop and integrate a relevant social media plan into the recruitment process
  • Draw upon a proven recruiting background to identify and manage candidates throughout the hiring process, from initial identification through offer acceptance
  • Track and manage candidates using an internal database throughout the full life cycle of recruiting

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous corporate or staffing experience in the full life cycle  of recruiting preferred
  • Long-term interest in recruiting career path required
  • Foundational knowledge of HR laws and policies with respect to interviewing/recruiting/hiring
  • Experience facilitating a behavioral-based interview strongly preferred
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Knowledge of grassroots/campaign environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while integrating a high degree of attention to detail and organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
